KDL46EX720 User Reviews
I thought you might be interested in reading what people who’ve just bought the 46″ KDL-46EX720 LED HDTV are saying, so I did some research and this is what I found.
Sara said, “I know people spend days researching TVs – don’t waste your time just get this one and you will be fully satisfied.” Well, thanks for the input Sara, but we’ve provided a bunch more information below for others who might feel a bit differently.
The CNET reviewer concludes, “If you have a bright room, this is one of the best TVs to get because of its matte screen which reduces reflection dramatically.” (see the CNET video review below)
The more advanced features might have a bit of a learning curve, though, and, “Browsing the Internet with the built-in browser is kind of slow. Just use your iPhone.”
While Netflix and other download sites offer plenty of streaming content, one man noted that the Sony KDL-46EX720 only plays MPEG files, leaving him unable to directly play his many AVI video files. Other folks have pointed out, though, that those AVI files can be played on your computer and output to the TV.
In terms of style, CNET notes that its, “One of the more understated TVs we’ve seen.” It needs a wireless dongle for Wi-Fi but it has a very useful built-in Ethernet connection.”
George was really happy with the picture quality and was quick to add, “I love the Gracenote feature that tells me what song is playing.”
Overall, while this model isn’t perfect, most people don’t really expect it to be because it’s at the entry level end of the price spectrum. That said, most people find it to deliver an outstanding picture and are satisfied with their purchases. I’m therefore happy to recommend it.
